Nolan Helmuts, Good or Bad??

Post by Wattie »

i have my eye on a new helmet maybe...
whats the consensus on Nolan?
i kinda like the stoner repica...
but then theres those flip up ones like BMW ones, HJC make them too now, look half decent too..
and removable liner.

Not used one, but have seen the flip-up ones (fairly heavy). They should become more popular if Stoner is using one.

Their only problem is they don't sound fashionable. :D

Apparently some of the BMW helmets are amazing. A friend has a BMW Sport Integral which is one of the quietest lids i have sampled. Exxie though.

I had a look at the Nolan X-lite yesterday in at Bike Barn. Paul has them on special for $400. They look to be a top quality lid. The visor mechanism is simple looking and appears to solve the noise problem with flush mountings. neat. Unfortunately as with most Helmets, they don't fit me. :(

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

I've been requested to put the pegs back on and remove the seat cowl...
for occasional rides at least...

As an alternative, I'm looking for a bike for her....
a bit more expensive option but its better than stuffing the look of my 10...

I have a Nolan N61 - not a bad helmet, can`t get an iridium visor for it but otherwise it does the job. Not too much wind noise, comfortable and the visor seals well ... thumbs up from me
