2007 ZX6R
2007 ZX6R
Looks like Kwaky are doing the predictable thing and updating the ZX6R to follow the family resemblance of its big brother. In my opinion it's a bad idea to copy the frugly 06 ZX10 (much preferred the 05 model's looks).
Blurb:
Kawasaki will reveal an all-new ZX-6R later this year, ditching the 636 capacity for a 599cc screamer.
The new bike draws from the ZX-10R and the ZX-RR MotoGP bike and will be available in 2007.

Well I for one love the new Ten, I think it looks a lot better than the old 'big headlights' model. I hope the new six looks very similar to it, and making them all 599cc is great, because then they are able to be raced in Supersport / Superstock, ATM finding a 6RR is not exactly easy.
Bring it on. Just give those new Tens a chance, I hope they are the future of sportsbike styling.

more bikes live on the street than the track

GOTTA LUV the 12R!!
totally agree, i just wish it carried on the spirit of the crim. according all reports i've read, it's lost it's mongrel.HemiDuty wrote:Well I for one love the new Ten, I think it looks a lot better than the old 'big headlights' model.
if they're gonna lose the extra 37cc, it'll need to have similar or bigger power outages than the 06. and i'd love to see a 600 that just screamed, "ride me if you fuckin dare", maybe a 17,500 rpm red line might help that, but without the rev limiter cutting in at 14,500.HemiDuty wrote: I hope the new six looks very similar to it, and making them all 599cc is great, because then they are able to be raced in Supersport / Superstock, ATM finding a 6RR is not exactly easy.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I've been reading MCN for ages and they always do these computer simulated pictures of future models cause they need to talk about something.
If kwak design that bike, they will kill there sales.
I reckon kwak will stick with the 636 engine as it sells like hot cakes.
I won't put all my money on that though, as it is the 4 year cycle renewale which means they usually ditch the entire engine and start from scratch again ... If memory serves me, the 636 came about cause they realised they could just big bore the original engine block.. so if this is a new one.. they might not bother.
Please kwak, put away your ugly stick and look at yamaha /triumph 675 and to a lesser extent suzuki.
We will have to wait until september for the offical pix and details to come out....

Well its a wait and see thing but a 600cc engine with the engine dynamics of a cbr250 is not the way to go (more revs and less tourqe)for a road bike you just dont want to wait till 9000rpm for something to happen.
Should come out in a rr version as well?? A bit like a yamaha so theres a basic model and a all singing screamer model and i think it would be a shame if they ditch the 636 it seems to work just fine.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
