Riding in Perth?
Hey there, there is an odd chance that I may be heading to perth for a holiday.......was thinking of taking my bike (on trailer!) but was wondering what the riding was like.
Also are there many track days @ waneroo?

there are often rides being organize on PerthStreetBikes which is http://www.perthstreetbikes.com
The riding isnt spectacular here for the most part - but yes the coastal rides are the best, I wouldnt really bother going East too far or even going too far North of Perth - in a car yes on a bike no.
If you went from say Brighton to Fremantle thats a nice ride - all the way down Marmion Avenue, apart from that down south rides are good too - say Perth to Albany with a few stops along the way, Albany is a beautiful place - good luck with your ride dude!!!

Plenty of twisty roads in Perth if you know where to look, Brighton to Fremantle is pretty straight, depends where you are staying north or South of the river.
North I'd head out to Toojay for lunch and come back via Mundaring and then head up the Mundaring Weir Road (dam 1) then head south past the observatory and head along canning mills Rd down the hills onto Tonkin Hwy, turn left, get off onto Caufield St, turn right around one roundabout and then right again at the next one back up onto the Tonkin stay in the exit lane around a nice new sweeping left off ramp onto Albany hwy, turn left then left again back up onto the Tonkin (another great sweeper). Rinse and repeat 5 to 10 time and you are guaranteed to have a smile on you face.
If staying South head to the Quindanning pub for lunch, can't remember all the names of the roads but they woudn't mean much to you at the moment I would imagine.
Way down south ( Margaret River) there are some awesome roads. If you want maps I can email them to you. If done right these can be day trips covering upto 400 or 500km round trips of some pretty nice roads with great scenery along the way. PM me if you want some maps....

mate the twisties more than make up for the shitty weather.
the spurs on a wet day are still better than most roads on a dry day.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
