Rate The Flatspot - Guesty V. Gos

Post by Gosling1 »

Here are 2 flatspots, both on the back of Kawasaki Z1000's.

One was the result of a 'racing incident' at Eastern Creek, in March 2006. Rider was well-known A-Grader, Peter Guest.

The other was a result of an 'unfortunate incident with a sleeping bag' on the Federal Highway, en route to the Rage Rally, in October 1996. Rider was well-known ratbag and rally nutcase, yours truly.

Here is your task - Rate The Flatspot.

:D

Yes, we were lucky........check the next photo, this is from back where the sleeping bag decided it liked the inside of the swingarm better..... :?

Skidmark measured at 120 metres, or about 360 feet in the old money....

The car in the distance is right next to the bike, parked *just* off the side of the road, where it ended up........

Strika - you almost hit the speed on the head mate !! Doing 145 when this happened ......it was <60kmh from there to Goulburn Kawasaki !!

Team Crim - ssshhhhhh its a secret...

I wish I had kept that back tyre after it was changed, in fact we rang Goulburn Kwakka after getting back from the Rage, and the Bastards had already binned it !! spewin...........and yes, the force of the sleeping bag being caught in the swingarm actually bent the LH (chain) side *down* about 12mm...... it was like riding a flying crab !!!

Lucas - mate, you are one of a *very* select group of humans who have actually seen Condo Man from Planet Devious, and lived to tell the tale.  Normally, their eyes just self-immolate.......

just think, if you are *really* lucky, old mate Condo Man might make a special appearance in your tent at the GP !!!!
