Its all about skill and practise, I've seen all sorts of bikes that you think can't wheelie, hoisted on to the back wheel, oh and as Greeny pointed out to me in that Vid, have a real good listen and look. When he is showing you how to "power Up" in the first bit he is actually using the clutch

Have a look here http://www.ksrc-au.com/html/how_to_chuck_a_wheelie.html

Some advise that got me started from one of our own.

That's Dave Sonski who's a US stunt rider who worked for superbike mag for a couple of years. He rocks!!

That's my bike.. but i've never seen the wheel go up in first before... will have to go and try that now!

doh!

I tried the superbike video tip a few times and could not for the life of me get the front to get up or even feel light....

Either i'm not being agressive enough or something else is wrong. I have exactly the same bike as in the video and when i watch Dave's throttle hand it looks like he's just opening it steadily and to full. I've tried opening it to full quicker than he has, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

cheers

Yup.... read that link up 2 posts.... it explains it...

but basically, get your bike up to 65kph and then open the throttle in one big yank and it will come up real quick :)

Where is he using the clutch when powering up? His hand doesn't go near the lever when doing a wheelie with the on-board vid, and it doesn't sound like he's slipping it at any other of the vid angles?
