Yours Truly in RAPID

Post by ty »

Yes that's right - my ugly mug, well actually my beautiful bike, features on the last page of the latest issue of RAPID magazine - showing a bunch of OPH pics.
Second row, second from left - that's ME! I'm PUBLISHED! :D

Thanks to K6 Dave (aka Davezx9r) for letting me know.
Dunno if it's worth spending the $8 to buy the mag though - wasn't really anything else there I thought interesting after flicking through it.

Whats so special about your bike? No offence but it is 7 years old.... Why would a magazine show it?

One of the photographers who is a regular on the roads that ty is a regular puts a whole bunch of photos on the back page of the mag. Take 10 seconds to look at the magazine next time you are in a newsagent and you will see.

I'll scan and post it. Personally i think RAPID mag rocks. It's the only mag in Australia that has any custom Jap bikes.

I looked......not only does Ty NOT have a KSRC sticker on his bike, but he has an AMCN sticker on it!!!!!!!!!!!!! And to top that off he has his Ventura full rack on it, as well as the left over from the eighties carbon fibre muffler

Thats what ya get for not having your KSRC sticker in view

I must defend myself - my honour has been impugned! :D
The AMCN sticker was on the bike when I got it - I just haven't removed it yet cos i'm worried about the colour underneath - there's a MotoConcepts sticker on the other side in the same position - I agree, it must go.
If you look closely though you CAN actually see the KSRC sticker on the swingarm peeking through between my boot and the zorst.
I also have the url on the frame in front of my right knee - but I'm cranked over so much (not!) that it's out of view :(
As for the can - again not my choice but I love it - so poop to you ;)

As for the rack - well, some of us actually ride our bikes regularly and aren't just fair-weather-weekend-riders ( ;) ) so the rack is normally in constant use. This is probably the only shot Deeno's taken of me that doesn't have the huge RJAYS bag still on the rack too ;)
ty
PS. Thanks Pabs for posting a scan - I have the actual shot but can't upload attachments through the work firewall :( and haven't pulled my finger out to setup a photobucket or equiv

Edit: I've actually uploaded it, clearer shot of the actual pic in the mag -
