Stop posting huge pics.!!

Post by MadKaw »

Can ppl please resize there pics before posting them.!!
If you have to scroll around the screen to view a pic its obviously too big..
Keep them under 800 x 800 ish please..

Of course if you want to donate large amounts of money to the KSRC hosting fund to pay for the bandwidth you are wasiting then its fine. But then I'm sure theres a lot of ppl who don't want to download these large files either...
Have a bit of consideration for others.....

Oversized pics WILL be deleted....

Its all in here.!

Here here. I cannot stand having to scroll across the screen to see all the text in the following replies, and even took to asking people to hit enter frequently in their replies just avoid said scrolling.

I thought we had code that stopped attachments that were over so many Mb or so many pixels. Wasn't the limit 600pixels width? That's what I always resize to anyway, and at 72dpi too.

the Attachment Help does not give an actual pic size
..it just sez max size is 10MB

Can we change that/add to it...
so that is sez MAX 800x800 and then there are no excuses!

Since we allowed movie files to be posted we had to increase the file size...
Nobody reads the posts and stickies so I guess they wouldn't read the help either..

and don't worry about Mina, I just delete his posts..
I don't ask for a lot but some simple consideration for others, ie those paying to host these massive pics or those paying to download them.!
We still have a lot of ppl on dial up.
and the fact that if it doesn't fit on the screen you can't see it, so whats the point of posting it.!!!

800*800 depends on resolution, I save my pics as 72dpi as screen res is about that.

*Edit* This is 500*500 at 72dpi
