I put it on my visor and it made wet weather riding worse!! Was out in the rain last night night after applying this crap to my visor and I could barely see
OK, So it said "don't use on plastics unless manufacturer says it's ok" But I'm too arrogant to heed such advise.
What do we put on our visors these days to help the rain run off ??

Rain x needs 2 or 3 coats to work well
Oh and it helps if you read the instructions.........you polish it off not leave a film on the visor
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

amen to that........2-3 coats minimum, and then re-coat every couple of weeks during *shitty* weather, as everytime you clean your visor, you'll be removing the Rain-X..........(I found it works pretty well.)

Do they still make those little wiper blade thingies that you used to slip over the index finger of your glove?
They used to work pretty well once the Mr Sheen/Rain-X wore off.
Cheers,
Pete

yes, I did that, no probs
I'll give it another go, several coats with drying in between. Works a treat on glass so I hope I can get it to work on the arai visor.
Thanks for 1/2 the other tips, I'll try the mr sheen if this don't work. As for riding fast in the rain, well I'll leave that to you guys with no licences..

Plexus works a treat. Only on clear/tinted visors though, not the iridiums

PLEXUS!!!
But, as the can will say, don't use paper towel to polish it in, use a soft cloth.
Its also fantastic for cleaning all the plastic/painted bits of your bike, your windscreen and your whole helmet.
