2nd hand tyres

I am currently in need of new front and rear tyres and i'm planning to go for the 2nd hand "ex-race" sort.

I've seen them around for about $200-$250 per set..but in this post dan said you can even get them for 160? (80 each)

So just wondering if anyone has had any experience with going for 2nd hand tires for the road..and dan if you could please tell me where you can get $80 tyres!! :wink:

180/55/17 rears and 120/70/17 fronts
