Looks like it parked in the aircondidtioned pit area, in queensland they supply a hot tin roof that barely covers where your bikes are parked and a good area to bake the riders. :shock
You wouldnt mind paying a few bucks if you got some decent facilities, went to the budget test and tune day with hemiduty on wednesday and for mine it was more like a crash and burn day well for at least a couple of punters anyway was as no thrills as it comes and no flags happening either = a pilup that never should have happened.
Looking good dave its worth going when you get a chance just to keep your eye in.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

How does it go and handle next to the old trackbike ?????????????????
Funny you should ask that.....
Its little too sanitised after riding the 9...
The 9 had to be wrestled around the track and the power surge it had with the quick action throttle was awsome. The 9 also had slicks which I had a lot more confidence in..
Dropping down gears and engine breaking into corners on the 9 was an event on its own, especially if you stuffed it. The 10 has the slipper clutch and its so smooth. It also has a more lineal power delivery but higher in the revs. The 10 has about the same HP but the 9 seemed to have more torque and would pull harder from lower in the revs. The 10 always sounded like it was screaming its tits of. I think I'll need a new bulb for the shift light.
The 10 handles better than the 9 and is easier to move around on and change lines mid corner.
At the end of the day the 10 is an easier bike to ride and I'm sure with some stickier tyres, the suspension and gearing sorted it would be better.
The pilot powers were pretty good for a road tyre. They started to go off towards the end of the sessions but were always controllable. I took it easy as I didn't know what they'd be like but they were fine at the pace I was going. Something stickier would definately help though.
My biggest complaint about the 10 was the front brake. On the road it feels fine but after about 4 or 5 laps of the track it starts getting spongey and the leaver is on the bars. Still worked OK but I lost a bit of confidance in it. I'll be ordering some braided lines and better pads soon.
At the end of the day, I lapped E.C on the zx9 in 1:40 - once. My regular times were 1.42. I did about 25 - 30 days on the 9 to get to that.
My first ride on the 10 after a year away from the track I lapped at 1:45 a couple of times, but 1:46 and 1:47 were the regular times.
I was also in the med fast group on the 10 but am normally in the fast group on the 9. I don't think I had one clear lap on the 10 as I would have been about the fastest person in the group. I should have moved up but I didn't want the pressure of it all

Anyway, thats about it. I need a beer after typing all that crap..
Where is that MadKaw piss....

Nice one Dave! About time you got out there on the Ten. Throw a few bits at it and it will be a better tracker than that old tourer of yours.
What tyres are you likely to put on it next time out, and how much wear did the Powers show after the day? Also what slicks did you use to run on the 9, and how many days would you get out of them?
I really hope you can afford to get out to the track more often, I go through serious withdrawals between bouts.
