the right place and the right time

Post by Ment »

Im currently stuck at work but saw one of the best moves i ever seen.
out on the road in front of work there was a sea of hells angels crusing on their hardlys when a lone r1 comes straight through the middle of them on his back wheel at about 80kmh
farking funny!
listening to the hardlys try to catch up to him was amusing too.
Even tho it wasnt one of gods own bikes was still a great sight.

just hope they didnt get his number plate.

I did that between a couple of Rebels on their hardleys once... I don't think they were too impressed. Once I had slowed down they blew by me at warp speed (about 50 or 60 kays an hour on a harley I think). :)

i never really had anything against harley's until one moved in to the house next door. now most sunday's at 7:15 he fires it up and sits outside my bedroom window warming it up for about twenty minutes then it still takes 5 goes just to get it to the road. wonder if he ever considered getting a tune up?

if i could, i would do the same.

It was only a R1.

If it was a ZX10, the hardlys riders will park their bikes and bow down. That will be a sight.

He he, that's funny. He's either got plenty of balls or a death wish. Either way he's a braver man than I. Could ya imagine if he'd dropped it in the middle!

I once got swamped by a mass of Outlaws on Benalla's main drag riding my Dad's IZH Jupiter. Was very intimidating, mostly because the Jup was louder than the Hardly's (not to mention smokey). 8)

there were a couple of harleys at the track day i did a few weeks ago at phillip island... they were running in B1 (medium fast) and they were actually really quick... supprisingly quick in the corners, tho dead down the straight... i think they were sportsters, they has USD forks, dunlop D208/D208RR tyres, twin discs up front and a lot more ground clearance than most harleys... one had dropped his exhaust too

heres a pic:

That'd be a Street Rod, dude, with the liquid-cooled 90-degree four-valves-per-cylinder DOHC motor that Porsche helped H-D build.

that would explain why they were so damn quiet, even with a dropped exhaust
