Where to change or examine oil on ZX2R?
Where to change or examine oil on ZX2R?
There is a cap on the bottom left-hand side of the bike, but there is no dipstick? Am I looking in the right area?
My mate has a CBR250RR and this where it is on his bike.

The bike needs to be level and you'll be looking for a window similar to the one in the picture.

i couldn't find it on my zzr for ages either. and boy did i cop shit for bein an idiot.]
thankfully diesel informed me there's a little sight glass below where you poor the oil in.
levels need to be between upper and lower points
diesel posted that... I think he was still pissed from gregs birthday.
had a good laugh when I found this thread (so did greg and diesel when I showed em), cos of all the shit we gave diesel when he posted asking where the dipstick was on his zx2 many moons ago.
right hand side.
shouldn't have to pull the fairing off.
look down from where the seat is.
and i didn't post that.
smek just couldn't find his stick. i swear.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

hi guys, i just wanted to make sure about this 1. if i were to refill oil, would i pour the oil into the cap at the top of the clutch cover(right hand side of zx2r)?

Yep, that's the filler cap. watch the window lower down on that side to see the oil level. Keep the bike upright or it will miss read the level and don't forget it takes the oil while to drain down.bunna wrote:hi guys, i just wanted to make sure about this 1. if i were to refill oil, would i pour the oil into the cap at the top of the clutch cover(right hand side of zx2r)?
