Im running standard headers and a Yoshi slip on. Its a rebuildable model they tell me. Shes a bit fluffy at 7-9k. I find the usable band is around 11-13k but would like it a bit earlier. I give her regular servicing and use premium fuel.

There should be a million guys around yr area that can do a carb tune for you and throw in some new needles n jets. It doesn't matter that much what jet kit you use, as you will still have to adjust it with some dyno runs unless you luck the right set-up first go

There are a few guys on the Island that could help you I am sure.

Thanks Strika, There is a lack of those peopl on the island unfortunately. PTR looks like getting the guernsey for this job. (About 110klms away)

I can fit myself but cant run it on the road to check (track bike only)

OK that puts a slightly diff slant on things. there are a stack of people who can do that for you if you are willing to come up to Melbourne. Another good choice would be to call Dave at Dynobike. He can be a bit odd sometimes (ever since his bus partner died) but essentially is a really good bloke, and can tune carbs really well also. He is in Huntngdale fm memory. Do a google on Dynobike and yll find it. Cheers.

Or you could do what I did....... Just go and buy a Muzzy titanium race system off some one second hand and give it to Gavin Cosway to fettle. Both mine are his, and believe me, my ten year old ZX6's keep up with current superstock bikes. Oh, .....and the sound (where's that drool key?)
