zx10r - price drop at Parra Kawi.

Post by MadKaw »

I just had a call from Parra Kawasaki to let me know they are doing 05 zx10r's for $16990 on road with the race kit.
I heard they are cheaper in QLD though, but that is supposedly due to there rego costs and they can do 6 months... dunno.

They also told me the 06 is due in December-ish. The reason the pipe went underseat was due to the fact they couldn't get the HP with the short under body pipe. The mufflers are far apart to allow air flow so the passenger seat doesn't get hot and they can fit in some underseat storage.. The pipes are large to meet the new Euro emissions and its expected a race kit pipe will be available straight away...
They'll be about $20000 to $21000 on the road....

Nothing new but I thought I'd share..:-)

if they think they are gonna compete with the gsx-r/cbr/r1 they have to start with price.

that would have to be at least $1K more than the other 3.......not a good start IMHO

Yeah but it makes them seems more exclusive. They will probably go for the same money as the others after discounts etc. anyway.

My mate that rang me when I was at your place the other day Dave, was quoted $16500 on the road with the race kit... (in Queensland)

He signed up for it after taking it for a ride but pulled out when they told him it was going to cost $86 per week to insure it... He's a 20yo...
