Can anyone tell me what rear shock absorber options I have with an 1986 GPX can original shock be rebuilt or is the one off a later model bike that will fit any advice appreciated

if it holds air (its an air shock) .. then it is fine
they are made by KYB so quality is not an problem
the larger issue will be these days, the attached linkage.. worn out it will be
