Back from hiatus

Post by vanrootn »

Been in hibernation for a while - sold my z1000 - bought a cafe and a kh100!

Haven't had a lot of time for motorcycling but decided I couldn't live without a working one!

So I bought this (I know it's not a kwak but I've always wanted one!)

2000 R1 It's a fun bike - last of the carbs :-)

And the 75 Kh 100

Hope I'm still allowed to linger around here... without too much fuss haha

Welcome back.

Was also hibernating myself for a few years to pay debts and ended up buying a Yamaha too  all good and great bikes & look they are 8)

How light is your R1? I got a 2000 R6 and it weight nothing compared to my 2000 ZX6R. But was always angry for rev and a torture rack too. How comfy is the R1?

I sold it to a guy and the last I heard it went to bike heaven :(

Sorry about the late response - didn't see your reply!

Surprisingly it is quite light! Feels a few kg's lighter than my 2010 z1000...

Probably about the same power wise as well but I'm not sure if the sprockets are stock tooth wise.... all it wants to do is lift the front wheel!

The seat itself is much softer and the riding position is very aggressive but I find it ok for the amount of riding I do, probably wouldn't want to commute on one though haha
