Thought about getting something different

Post by Clarkixlc »

So it's been about a week and a half since I rode the barge.

And as I'm a massive fan of muscle bikes (previous bike being the ZRX) I was looking around and found something i liked. Sent an email off asking if they do trades and such. And then today I took the barge to work and loved it again. And got an email back saying the bike I enquired about was an economic write off. And was involved in a small stack.

Got home and realised I like the barge too much to get rid of it.

Got me thinking about how many people get this feeling ( and I'm not just talking about getting the newest bike just for the sake of it.) if so what are your stories? The ones that were the best move you did or didn't make ?

I think the secret to motorcycling is update your bike for sure, but if you like your current bike, don't part with it. :D
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

Traded my first big bike, a 2002 ZX636R for a brand new 2008 GSXR750; worst mistake I've ever made regarding bikes!

Later on I decided to sell my C1 ZX9R instead of trying to import it to Australia; terrible idea as I miss that bike so much.

Bought a 2004 R1; never EVER again! Hated it. But bought it to try it out and at least I know now!

Currently have the ZXR and even after a spill and streetfightering it I can't say I'll be letting it go anytime soon (Health depending).

When I was looking at my last vine the ZRX I was going to get a gsx1400. But the zrx was the right price.

I found a gsx I was interested in but then the written off thing put me off and even though it has the low down torque I think once o change the hearing on the barge not much will get close to it haha.

The ZXR in my avatar was my 1st big bike (road bike) traded my beloved ZXR250 in for it , that was 17 years ago
Had a few of other road bikes in that time , Gsxr 750 , fireblade , gsxr600 and a TL 1000, they were all probabley faster than the ZXR but for some reason i will never part with it , don,t know why but i just love it.
Its more like an old pet dog than a bike , it just lays around the Rumpus room these days just waiting for the odd ocassion i take it out for a walk :kuda:
