new lads story!

Post by gurujosh »

Hey KSRC people im new around here but had various kwaka's over the years. First bike I bought new and first big bike was a j1zxr and I loved it but a few years later traded it in big mistake that I have regretted ever since. Any way over the last few years been looking for a good zxr for nostalgic reasons. Well went had a look at one last week, was a bit rougher than I wanted but guess what? It was mine After 21 years Ihave found my old bike and now its home and we are back together! I think its a cool story.
any way full resto time so if any one has some zxr j1 (or k) parts check out my post in the wanted section.

Hey Josh. Welcome. An L2 was my first big bike - I'll always have a soft spot for ZXRs!

Thanks so far for the encouagement, the more I work in my old bike the more excited I am about it, you know that this is the exact bike I traded in more than 20 years ago!

My L3 ZXR was my first big bike and i,ve now owned it for over 17 years , had plenty of other road bikes over the years but for some reason i have never been able to part with the zxr
its more like a pet dog than a bike , spends pretty much all its life sitting in the rumpus room doing nothing

I've had a few bikes before I landed on the L model ZXR's and have to say I've been stunned with how good a bike they are.
Unfortunately my L1 took a slide down the road and is now fightered but I'm hopefully gonna pick myself up another standard bike in a few years just to have the pair,
