G'day all.
Been around the forums for a while. Found you (again) when i googled Z1R.
Reason i joined is my wife wants to restore a bike and has cleared space in the dining room to build one of the ones in my shed.
She has chosen the 1974 CR 900 Rickman Kawasaki.
I have a shed full of dead zeds.
From the bottom. (Or top)
1974 Cr900 Rickman Kawasaki plus spare frame, engine and bits.
A 1978 Z1R mark 1 plus spares and bits.
A 1983 Z100J Plus a spare frame, engine and bits.
3 198? GPZ 1100's
2 198? GPZ 750's
A couple 1100 frames
spare engines, tanks and shit.
The wife rides a really really ugly 92 zzr 250 that was built by a MC mechanic friend for his son. But his son rebelled.
The 16 year old daughter rides a scooter. And so do we when we want an easy ride...
I'm completely unmotivated and almost all of the bikes need restoring. The "J" was parked about fifteen years ago when it "bled out" after an awesome drunken driveway burnout.
A couple have been pulled apart to restore and boxed up when a better option presented itself as a parts bike that was too good to part...
So i figured joining would be good for all of us.
For me it is a(nother) forum to post pics of the (wifes) bike build and hit you guys up for any info that we may require.
I have all the manuals. Most of the release posters and bike magazine reviews for the lot, but sourcing parts can be a drama. (Though again i have a reasonable amount of NOS)
Hope your site ends up as interesting as it looks from an initial perusal.
Cheers
XS

Gday and welcome mate. Sounds like an impressive bunch of potential projects you've got.
You need to catch up with Gos.
