ZZR 600 luggage hook

ZZR 600 luggage hook
After a weekend away I realised when we returned that the side luggage hook on my missus ZZR 600 was missing. I've since had a closer look and it appears the thread is stripped and the replacement one won't screw in. Anyone had this happen and know of a fix besides tapping it out to a bigger thread size.
