clutch basket rebuild

Post by craigi38 »

Hello to all,
Would anyone out there know where to get my '77 z1000 clutch basket and starter clutch rebuilt ? Any help at all would be grateful. Both are old and very worn. I can't say I know what bit's need fixing, just that it involves new springs, grinding rivets to get to them and thats about all I know.
cheers from Peter.

try Rob Cassar at APE Racing in Melbourne for the clutch-basket rebuild. Starter clutch just needs some new springs and rollers to work properly again - this is not a hard job to do at all and the parts have to be OEM so I would go to US Ebay motors to get these bits. Z1 Enterprises sells all the bits for the starter clutch for your Zeddie.

Thanks for that. All the knowledge I can get is greatly appreciated. Most parts are easy to find but some not so.The cr1000 fuel cap comes from a triumph '75 TR7 car which changed in the next model,so far it's been impossible to track down one,all I need is the rubber seal.Very frustrating.
