G'day all,
Kids now left home so after 30 years of no riding have purchased '77 KZ1000, 14,500 miles, original cept for colour and tank badge.
Cant live with the original bars so have replaced with angled flat bars, new clutch & throttle cables, top brake hose, switch blocks (900) and grips. New brake pads, battery, air filter, carby jets/gaskets, oil & filter and runs like a dream. Also bought Z1000 side cover badge from Z1 Ent., tank badge to be replaced also, at least I can pretend its Aussie!!!!
Looking forward to checking out forum and reading about the old dungars,
Garry

Re: Back on bike
Welcome Wiggy and welcome back to motorcycling. After a little while you'll think to yourself , Why did I wait so long.
I've only been back on one for about 12 months after a 14 year break.
Enjoy

Thks stevojumps, your right mate, I was thinking just that on weekend. Ask me again when I am riding in cold, rain!!!
Biggest job is now getting used to riding again, few cobwebs but shouldn't take too long I hope.
