They have a shitload of room to make the circuit - I think MNSW already owns pretty much the entire chunk of forest in that lower corner at the bottom of HMAS Albatross ?

MNSW doesn't and won't own any of the land, the Shoalhaven City Council is buying the land from the government and will lease it to MNSW. Don't know who owns the MX track. Council is going to lease the land for the new track to MNSW for $5000 a year! There is some opposition to the plan, but a lot of support. great location. If you look at google maps, you will see a MX complex at the SW corner of Albatross. The road-race circuit is pencilled in for the forest directly across the road.
