Re: ZRX Tyres
Lots of people like the Metze's. I've got M5's on and their good but I'm thinking of going back to a Miche Road 3 or Road 2

Re: ZRX Tyres
I had M5's on mine for a long time. Would not hesitate to have stayed with them if not for commuting duties. The rear just wore out to quick commuting.
I switched over to Road 2's on recommendation from my mechanic. I did not enjoy them the first time around (on the bike when purchased), but soon learnt that my suspension had more to do with handling issues than the tyres.

Re: ZRX Tyres
Michelin Pilot Road 3s on both my ZRXes. Used to have Shinko Ultrasofts on which were great wet and dry but lasted 4000km...on the rear. Went the same tread pattern Shinkos but slightly less soft. Terrible/ fun in the wet (spun up at 100km in wet at will) and the tyres I binned ZRX #1 in gravel on.
Can't fault the Michelins and 12000km from a rear makes them considerably cheaper than the Shinkos.

Re: ZRX Tyres
I have had about 8 sets of M5's on mine, love them. Shaun and I even did a track day at pretty good pace on them and they are great on the road.
Metzelers like a little more pressure than some other tyres, 36-41 in mine and they are faultless.

Re: ZRX Tyres
Michelin PR2 on the Rex.
Best tyres I've ever had.
I have a Pirelli Angel front on my ZZR, don't feel as confident with it as I do with the PR2.
Excellent wear.

Re: ZRX Tyres
M5's for me too. I have personally tried Supercorsers, M3's, Pilot Powers, Bt016's, Q2's and S20's on The ZRX and prefer to keep getting M5's; I can't fault them on the ZRX.

Re: ZRX Tyres
Just done about 2000k's on Pirelli Angel ST's and they are excellent. Definitely better than the original Bridgestones that were fitted on the bike. Ask me again in 10,000 k's.

Re: ZRX Tyres
BTW mate of mine with a XJR1300 (similar to zrx) gets a couple of thousand kms MORE out of PR2s compared to PR3s- but 3s are slightly better in wet. 2s are cheaper.

Re: ZRX Tyres
So the answer is..........whatever tyre you like.
Goes to show you there's really no bad tyres.
