running in oil ZX14R 2013

when I picked up my bike I asked the service dept about running in oil, it had had the first service already, was informed bike has mineral oil in is recommended to stay until 6k kms. I have read the fully synthetics too early don't allow the motor to bed-in properly and they said not to give the bike too hard a time as it's not got synthetic oil in it. so I'm supposed to take it easy for 6k kms?! just passed the 1600 on the odo, so have sampling the upper mid-range around 7-8k rpms once or twice so far. I plan on doing a 3k kms change myself not sure if that is too early for synthetic?

I have run my zx14 as normal from day 1 so it now has 2500kms and would be beded in so I would use what ever oil you wanted now.

The only time you need to 'take it easy' is while warming up. Give it time to get up to normal temps before giving it your usual throttle and use the full rev range. By 3k km put in your chosen synth and she be right.
