New Toy... New Paint Job!

Post by swabio-ACT »

Well,

I decided that I wanted to give painting a bit of a crack.... and due to the lack of appropriate supplies in my local area..... decided to keep it simple!

So I procured myself a Revo Platinum body, and started masking and painting.....

I chose a red and silver colour scheme, which I think turned out pretty well...... but the main problem is, the paint is not really suitable for lexan.... so will be getting another go at it soon, it was a form of automotive/motorcycle paint formulated for plastic..... but, guess not RC lexan plastic! Oh well, I have two more bodies to paint and will repaint this one at some stage..... but will wait until I get my hands on some decent gear!

Anyway here is the product..... I didn't do any stage steps unfortunately...... the masking tape I had access to really is crap! I hope to find some decent gear soon, preferably liquid mask..... and an air brush!

Here are the pix anyway!

Nope! Nowhere near as much... either to the body or the wallet!
