Eddie and Eduardo

Post by bonester »

Bought Eddie, my 08 ZRX new five years ago. 59000km and still going strong and luvvin it. Bought another ZRX (Eduardo) on ebay last week at a ridiculous price that I couldn't pass up. It is an 01 and is a little scruffy but is cleaning up well with lower kms than Eddie-52000km. Previous owner painted anything he could gold- grabrails, fuel cap, footpegs and brackets. Ghey! Also has fat bars that are gone as soon as standard risers turn up from the US. Turns out I now have the first and last carby ZRX12. :D Pretty stoked.

Not sure I want to say coz I may resell it at a later date, but about a quarter what it is worth.... Dude selling it thought the head gasket was gone and sold it for bugger all. Nuffin wrong with the head gasket.

I was thinking someone may want to swap it for a first gen z1000 in green too. (03 or 04)

not a sausage mate - never owned one. Have been under serious pressure from The Old Farts Club from time to time (mainly around CDT time  ) to buy one of these - may do so one day........

I remember taking the first one - the 1100 with the frame-mounted half-fairing - for a test ride many years ago. I was riding the Pearl to work every day at this time, it could have been as far back as 1998 or 1999 ?? I also remember thinking that 'this bike doesn't really do anything better than the Pearl except it has better brakes and pulls out of corners faster'

BTW thanks to Matt from here who I bought mirrors and radiator shrouds from a few weeks ago. Both are on this bike now- it had fully polished rad shrouds that looked shit and cheapo ebay mirrors with indicators in them which looked equally shit.

hahahaha Not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm sure...

At least if it was 'Ghey' I'd have a better chance with Telstra getting ir right... my bills have varied from 'Aldoardow' to 'El Doardo' to 'Ed wardow'.
