ZX6R J1 Rough Idling -> [Vic] CARB Balancing Day
This has been pretty annoying the past weeks. Whenever engine is warm/hot the idling and low-RPM is rough. When cold, no problems as in smooth.
What has been done:
1. Put in carb cleaner in tank
2. Spray carb cleaner generously into carbs
3. New plugs
4. Cleaned air filter
Where else should I look for ?

Damn... then I have to spend $100ish for service or buy a carb balancer from carbtune.
Any other options to balance the carb ?

Can always compare the pressure with your tonque

ZXR"900" - In pieces... again.
Another engine gone but at least the purple and pink are still there, oh yeah.

Which carb cleaner did you use and how did you 'clean' the filter exactly?
Mine ran like a complete dog when I last cleaned my filter because I used filter-oil which didn't get on very well with my stock foam filter. All was fixed by chuking it into the nearest bin and buying a nice K&N replacement.
I also ran in through with that Motul fuel cleaner.

This is true if you don't have a balancer. But it can be done. There are plenty of articles online that should help you make a decision which way to go.
The Doc says my blood is green. Thankfully, there is nothing he can do to help

Yankee wrote:not good to hear mate.... how much is a carb balance (and what is it?!)
the point of a carb balance (or carb sync) is to make sure each cylinder is getting the same amount of fuel/air mixture on each stroke by measuring the manifold pressure.
it's part of a normal service or relatively easy to do if you have the tool.
