Unless your OEM shocks are absolutely shagged, I'd be interested to taekt hem off your hands when the time comes - will be a nice upgrade to the rooted units on my old Mk II.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not be leading
Do not walk in front of me, for I may not be following
Do not walk alongside me, for the path may be narrow
Just piss off and leave me alone

Ohlins are the pick, but Gazis are a decent upgrade at a far cheaper cost. Glen on here is looking to upgrade his Gazis to Ohlins soon so you might be able to pick up his Gazis off him at a good price.

Ohlins- get them from US for around $1400 to your door compared to $2000-2100 from Oz importer

For the money Gazi would be my choice. Plenty of threads about them on here. All happy results..

One thing to keep in mind when fitting the Rex shocks to an old Zed - the Rex shocks have a fatter body down at the lower shock-mount end, compared to the stocker Z1000 shocks - which are quite skinny for some distance above the lower shock mount.greenman43 wrote:........nless your OEM shocks are absolutely shagged, I'd be interested to taekt hem off your hands when the time comes - will be a nice upgrade to the rooted units on my old Mk II.......
I have Glen's old Rex shocks fitted to the Black Pearl - they work great

The 530 conversion is almost mandatory on the old zeddies in any case, its dead easy and I can help you with bits if you need.

but they need a 530 conversion for clearance. If you stick with the 630 chain, the 630 will foul on the body of the shock - only just but it will be enough to flick off the master link on your chain eventually
ask me how I know this
. The 530 conversion clears the Rex shocks much better.

Thanks Gos, sage advice - not sure I could live with myself if I didn't go to 530 set-up anyway
I had the masterlink on my old A1 let go once, when I was a young bloke with no money; the resultant carnage was horrific, and it took me months to pay for the replacement parts. A lesson hard learned and all that ...

See Phil - nuff said

If life is like a box of chocolates, why do I always get the laxettes?
Re: Zrx1200r rear shocks
I rang gazi this morning and they maybe out of stock just waiting for a call back to find out if they have stock or when they will. Otherwise I will need to look for another option
Re: Zrx1200r rear shocks
3 to 5 weeks for the gazi what other option do I have
