Question on type of palstic used in OEM fairings

Post by timeeh »

I need to do a patch up job on my 96 ZX9, just wondering if asnyone out there knows what type of plastic the OEM fairings are made of? Apparently platic aint palstic when it comes to using various bogs and resins.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

Heh!

You are likely to have better luck doing some plastic welding. I did some plastic welding on my bike, pretty easy with some donor plastic and a well cleaned soldering iron.

I'll also post a thread with a how-to for fairing repairs that I'll copy off another forum...
