Off-duty policeman clocked travelling over 200km/h on motorbike – Eastern Creek
Friday, 08 March 2013 01:35:08 PM

A policeman has been stripped of his licence after being clocked travelling at more than 200km/h through a western Sydney industrial estate.
Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers detected a Kawasaki motorcycle travelling over 200km/h zone in a sign-posted 50km/h zone on Peter Brock Drive, Eastern Creek, about 2.15pm yesterday (Thursday 7 March 2013).
The rider was stopped by police.
The off-duty officer, who is attached to a local area command in North West Metropolitan Region, was subsequently charged with speed dangerous; exceed speed limit by more than 45km/h; and negligent driving.
He will appear in Blacktown Local Court on Tuesday 16 April 2013.
His licence was immediately suspended and registration plates confiscated.

200km/h in 50km/h zone: police officer charged

Date March 8, 2013 - 3:37PM

Motorcyclist loses licence, set to face court.

Police have charged an off-duty officer with speeding after he was allegedly caught riding a Kawasaki at more than 200km/h in a 50km/h zone.

Highway patrol police stopped the man on Peter Brock Drive at Eastern Creek in Sydney's west at 2.15pm on Thursday.

A police spokesman said the officer was "definitely off duty and riding his own bike", but could not say whether he worked for the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command,
which is based little more than one kilometre away from Peter Brock Drive.

That road runs along the northern perimeter of Sydney’s only race circuit, but the motorcyclist had not been riding on the track.

A spokeswoman for Sydney Motorsport Park, formerly known as Eastern Creek Raceway, said no motorcycle events took place on the day the man was caught.

Police said the rider was based in the North West Metropolitan region, which includes 44 local area commands stretching from Manly to Windsor.

He will appear in Blacktown Local Court on April 16 charged with negligent driving and speeding

I was just about to post this.

It's pretty easy to crack a bit of speed there especially coming out of a ride day, although he didn't have that excuse.Question for those who know. Does this do anything to his job?

Total twat over 200km/h , in 50km/h zone , Dick should walk for the rest of his life , no if's or but's , puts the public at risk period !!!!. *I don't condone this but if you want to (twist the throttle on the open road ), where there is a few km's with no side feed roads and clean line of sight ( that's controlled stupidity ) and you only put yourself in danger !!!! My two cents worth !!!

If you knew the road you would know that it should not be a 50/60km zone. Should be at least 80 around the track. No entering traffic what so ever

  the difference is I give it a lot of large but choose the roads a bit more carefully !! Outside of work just down the road = poor choice :kuda:
