Z1000 rear shock

Post by Roachy66 »

Just picked up a Z1000 2009 which came with a non-standard rear shock fitted. I was told that the shock fitted was from a ZX-14 ?? I was also given the original.

How do I identify a ZX-14 shock and the original?

Thanks

Where did you buy bike?

I'm pretty sure Disco's Zed had a zx14 shock in it? Might be his bike?

If it doesn't wheelie  it might be Disco's. And yes, it had a ZX-14 shock in it, I put it in ;)

Does it look like this

Did it make much of an improvement over the standard shock?

Well, its white and silver and has yoshi pipes and what appears to be a zx-14 shock bolted on. And, it does wheelies
