zx12r flat spot

Post by nickjt »

Hi guys, been off line for a while, and since then my 2003 zx12r has developed a flat spot at bottom revs. idles ok, and runs smooth over 1000/1100 rpm. But when i give it a little blip just before take off, it will give one, maybe two, quick little coffs, before it revs normally and takes off. It only does it from no revs for the first little blip. I can ease the revs on, and it wont coff, and increases revs nice and smooth, but if i give it a quick blip/squirt of throttle, it coffs before launching.... Any one got any ideas what the fault could be?

Yeah, but would be interesting to see if you have the same miss blipping it
From 1200 revs.

I know on my dirt bike, I just adjust the mixture screw till it doesn't do it. But hard to do that on an FI bike :-)
