[QLD] Mangoes

Post by Nosferatu »

Gday all. Any members in the SEQLD area interested in cheap mangoes? I've got about 300 trees worth of Kensington Prides that are dripping with them at the moment. Completely chemical free, no pesticides used at all. Selling for $1 a mango at the moment, price might change as the season gets along due to increasing size. I'm in Nanango, so if anyone from the Brissy area is interested, pm me. If your a bit more local and are interested, you can pick them up from the farm here, or we might be able to come to an arrangement. Pm me if anyone's interested.

Marty

It's a pity I can't send them over the boarder. It's also a pity there's no South East Queenslanders interested. Maybe I'm the only one left on the forum   I'd send you some puree Gos, but I don't think it would be fit for consumption by the time it made it to you.

I love mangoes...used to live near Maryborough and we had that many we used to feed them to the cows.

I have one tree here in my back yard with heaps of mangoes ripening now so I will hopefully have enough for my family for a while

You should find some kind of use for them if you dont sell them soon?
300 trees, You could nearly bathe in mango juice

Mango wine?, Icecream etc etc>

We sell them locally and they sell quite well. The mangoes down this far south ripen later than up north, so we make good money from them after the official season. Offloading them isn't a problem. It's nice to offer the forum members some sweet, juicy, local produce for a nice cheap price though. Avocados are next too, if anyone wants some. That wont be for a few months though :)
