08 ZX10 fuel economy

Post by zx102008 »

I ride a 08 ZX10R and I find that a full tank of fuel isn't very economic
Which only give me 190Kms to a tank..!! :? :kuda:

190kms till light comes on its a bit of a pain when you go on long rides if there's no servo's around..!!

I've done 160km to the light in the crim while riding proper roads.

But 190 till the light is pretty good.

If you are worried about fuel consumption, buy an ER6 :-)

Sounds standard to me. This keeps coming up. I don't know why people think their bike is special, and expect to get the fuel economy of a 125 out of a raging superbike?

Yeah Fuel Economy and ZX10 don't belong together in the same sentence. 190 is about right for standard riding. You need to stop every 200klms to give your Bot Bot a rest anyway.............

i know i can get 3-4 days straight running to work and back. I bought the bike cos I like the shape the colour, the fact it had more power than a 250, and can beat 90% of all vehicles on the road, and I love sports bikes. Around town I only get about 170km. The fuel factor never really concerns me after owning a thirsty falcon any chance to be on the bike I take the bike.
have toyed with the idea of buying a postie but then i'd be jealous of the sports bikes going past me :kuda:

Going from the 05 636 to a Gumby which both have 17ltr tanks there is a 50 - 60 Km variation
