I'm sure I could grab a few spray packs from Bunnings and give it a shot.

Why not have a go yourself? It costs me around $150/200 to paint a bike, but lotsa effort and labour. I painted the CB400, Z440 and a sidecover of the GN250 in my sig pic. Lots of satisfaction in doing it yourself, and if you don't like it, just start again- not much money to spend for such a good return. Compressor and spraygun cost me less than $200 from Supercheap. (2.5HP, 40 L tank) Gonna invest in a better gun, (gravity fed- $80ish) instead of the $20 gun I currently use. :D
BTW you need to use special primers on the plastics.

does any one know how to mach up the Kawasaki blue?? or green?? (the new bike colors)

I was told they are impossible to mach properly... apparently there is a trick with the color being put into the clear... but what color?? does any one have the paint codes for the color and the clear??

Those colours are bizarre! The Candy Thunder Blue my ZZR 12 is painted in is a silver paint job with the blue mixed with the clear coat!

That's pretty much what a "candy" colour paintjob is; it's composed of multiple layers of disparate colours to attain a "deep"-looking finish.

The Kawasaki candy blue is one of the simpler ones; it's only two colours-silver base under a blue topcoat (clear goes over the top, of course).

The Yamaha candy blue uses three colours; black base, pink in the middle, blue on top.

The trick in matching the colours is, from what spraypainter mumblings I've been able to decipher over time, getting the thicknesses of the different layers right; too thick or too thin, and it doesn't come out looking right.

Few spraypainters can get it right, but it can be done.
