NEW MEMBER from South Africa :-)

Post by Nosmo »

Hi fellow Kawi lovers.

Just bought a '77 Z650. :-) She's in fair condition, but I am all in it to restore to the classic masterpiece. Thought I'd join some like-minded people to just share the love and learn from those with the experience credentials. :-)

Solid Forum that you guys have going here! I like already.

Welcome Nosmo :kuda:

What's the riding like over there...are there many places with lots of bends etc?

Some pics of your ride and fav roads always welcome.

hi and welcome aboard - ignore my post on your other thread about the fuel problem on the 650 .....a 77 model should have normal slide carbs....will pick up the issues on your other thread :kuda:

thanks for all the wolcomes. Really cool. Mr. Springbok indeed. :-) Definitely a proud supporter. Also watch the super rugby series. :kuda:

Gos, I took pics of the carbs, so that you can see, but I have not had enough time to figure out how to upload. My few attempts thus far just failed.
I must say, the oldie bike scene is not that hot as in the UK for instance. There seems to be die hard fans in other countries, but over here on this side, its all about the fighter jet shaped machines. All good though.

Please help me out on my other thread. She is now totally not starting. With my limited knowledge and wee bit logical sense, I am sure she is over fueling like a bitch, so will hopefully get a chance this weekend to take those carbs to task and sort them out good.
