94 - 97 ZX9R MUFFLER FIT 1994 ZXR 750 ZX7R ZX7 ???

I would like some info on mufflers? I came across the Danmoto mufflers but they only suit the ZX9R

Would one of the Danmoto mufflers or any 94-97 stock slip on style mufflers fit on my 94 ZXR 750 or would I have to buy a ZX9 header pipe?

My current header pipe finishes just under the right footpeg / brake lever then has a rear pipe that slips over the header then connects to the muffler with a 3-bolt flange, The muffler for some reason is a 6 bolt flange setup? Im guessing someone has fitted a ZX9R header maybe (The header has no balance pipe though which makes it confusing?) & made up the rear pipe section & adapted some other possibly larger ID muffler?

I thought the stock header for my bike would have finished at the muffler with a 3-bolt flange & no joins in between?

The Danmoto ZX9 fitment link pipe won't fit your ZXR, looking at the pics of your bike on ASF it looks like your ZXR headers have been chopped & an adaptor pipe has been made up with a flange to mount the unknown (6 bolt !?!) muffler.
I'd try to get a set of ZX9 B headers, the balance tube actually smoothes the power out noticeably & being a slip fit type collector they're a piece of piss to make whatever style of link pipe you want.

Thanks I have decided to go with a (preferably new) set of ZX9R headers, Im guessing the ZX9 Danmoto muffler (or just about any stock style ZX9 fitting muffler) will need the link pipe modified to fit?
If I was to get a complete ZX9R system the rear section / link pipe would not put the muffler in the right spot?

I might just go with a set of Delkevic ZX9 headers?>

I have fitted my new Delkevic 94-97 headers & with the Danmoto JISU ZX9 muffler & it almost lines up perfectly, I just need a short piece of pipe (Flared 2-1/4") to put inside the slip/clamp fitting on the headers & weld it to the Danmoto link pipe & it will be good to go
