Question 1
The 02 636 has just clicked over 40k's, and i've owned it since it had 17k - never changed the chain or sprockets. They could be original!
What the average life of these components?
I dont ride it that hard, dont go popping wheelies everywhere (or anywhere... i'm useless).
Question 2
After having the fork seals done few months back, the front pads were changed due to being soaked. The new pads that were put in are just fkn horrible. No bite, have to really really put some pressure on to make them work.
Whats brand/type do ya'll typically run?

Pads and sprockets
I don’t care how liberated this world becomes – a man will always be judged by the amount of alcohol he can consume – and a woman will be impressed, whether she likes it or not.

Re: Pads and sprockets
1 Sorry no help there...my 9 manual says to measure the stretch and when it gets to a certain length - change.
2 I use DP (HH) pads and love them - great feel and really bite well.
