Re: kwaka confusion
I'm no expert, but it doesn't look like a '76 to me, wrong headlamp, wheels, brakes, motor, swinging arm, footrest hangars, and that's just at a glance, no doubt Gos will be able to give you an exact year tho'.

Isn't that a Z750e with a 650 tailpiece grafted on?

Re: kwaka confusion

It looks like an early frame - which might explain the compliance plate and first rego thing. That is not so bad.
What is bad, is the rest of the garbage. The entire bike has been built using parts from a GPz750 - 1982 or 83 model, perhaps even 1984. The forks and wheels etc - are all stock z750 bits. The ducktail is definitely a z650 tailpiece, maybe from a 79 or 80 model. Sitting on top of a GPz750 tail light it just looks ridiculous......brakes etc - are all just stock z750 / GPz750 items. Not sure what that swingarm is off - the aluminium swingarms with eccentric chain adjusters were single-shock swingarms - maybe someone modified this one to suit a twin-shock frame.......who'd know. Its a massive bitsa anyway you look at it.
That seat is worth a few bob though - you don't see too many of those. The same style on a z1 (Giugliari ??) - is worth a packet.
Caveat Emptor.

Re: kwaka confusion
I messaged the seller last night - they seemed genuine that it was their Dad's old bike and they had just written up the ad from the description that the old feller had given them......and it also looks like they have had a few similiar messages from other punters as well
. But the reply did seem dinkum. Maybe they have changed the description since ?

Re: kwaka confusion
Just had a look at the add and it hasnt changed, the only thing they changed is the price from $990.00 to what it is know because they reckon its rare and valuable.
Might have to email them Gos and tell them the facts and how much its really worth

Re: kwaka confusion
The seller asked me in the reply message last night what I thought the bike was worth - I haven't replied yet
might do so a bit later. If the bike was running well with good tyres and 12 months sticker - I would pay $2k for it no worries, if I was just looking for a good reliable everyday hack. That would be top-dollar though.
