Kawasaki Tools

Post by icebreaker »

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Kawasaki Tool. I'm particularly interested in the pneumatic ones. If you dont know what I'm talking about check eBay. They seem to be US only and the guy that sells the most stuff will only sell to ppl in the US.

But yes back on subject, just wondering if anyone has heard anything about them? Thinking of getting some soon cause they are green and cheap and I only wanted cheap anyway for the usage I'm going to give them. Looks like supercheap/bunnings quality stuff. also heard it may be getting sold down our end of the world soon.

I tried to find where they are manufactored with no luck. They are sold by Harbor Freight which is a good indication that they are a pile of shit. I don't think they are made by Kawasaki but I could be wrong. I would go with a known good tool rather than taking a chance. I also could be wrong. Cheers!

Nah, they are licensed to a mob in the US that has the license to us Snap-On for some stuff. Found out about as much as I can. some stuff is ok.. electric stuff is ok, but charger is shit as they don't cut off when charged so upto user to not fuck battery. but that is also the 110v charger, wouldn't mean into aus we would get that.
but I was more interested in pneumatic tools because well they are fucking green with kawasaki on them.. ROFL need I say more..

and I was looking at cheap shitty ones online anyway for a 2.5 HP SCA compressor I'm getting next week second hand cheap. Won't get used much, hence not overly concerned on gear that is expensive and built to be in a big workshop.

Owe and did I meantion they look cool and are farken Green... :)

Should start my toolbox liners soon... Apple green over Black... As close to a KSRC toolbox as I could get... rofl

I can only tell you that Kawasaki pneumatics used to be the best you could get, 20 years ago when I worked for a heavy vehicle tyre service, we had 3/4 & 1" drive KAWASAKI rattle guns to undo the fuckoff wheel nuts on the trucks & machinery we used to work on.
The bloke that owned the business swore by them, I remember him saying that when he worked in the mines, they used C.P., I.R. & KAWASAKI rattle guns & the KAWASAKI jobs were the only ones that didn't need fixing all the time so when he started his own biz they were his first choice.
I worked there for 18mths using the rattle guns every day, I rarely oiled them & nothing ever went wrong on 'em.
Of course, they may be made in China for 11 cents each these days but I'd be surprised if the Jolly Green Giant (K.H.I.) would allow their name to be used on cheap Chinky shit.

The Pneumatic stuff is all pretty cheap and in a metal chasis or composite.. aka plastic, hence its green...

I believe there are KHI ones as well that are a completely different kettle of fish. The items I'm talking about at for home handy men and not much more. They certainly aren't commercial tools.

They appear to be in line with say Ozito, GMC, SCA, Rockwell type cheap products we have here. Mainstream broader audience but not "specialised"

At the end of the day for the couple of items I'm looking at these are pretty much the crap that I'm looking at due to the costing, but to get it in green would get my purchase... Just after some feedback, Not alot out there considering its been mainstream in the US since 2006, ie costco, hardware stores, etc. Got a friend in New York who sent me some tools from Golf Works last year who's happy to send me some stuff again.
