I have used the PR2s and found them too soft in the sidewall...gave excellent comfort but were not inspiring in the twisties. :?

I know there not on your list but now using Metzeler M5 and like much better than the PR2. :kuda:

In order of preference Metzler M5s for all round fun all conditions,Roadsmarts will last a little longer but dont tip in as well ,qualifier2s wont last long but seem to suit the nine. Metzler M3s are probably in between the qualifiers and the roadsmarts .Pilot powers was never really happy with them on the nine. If your mainly in the dry and warm conditions surprisingly you will get a pretty good run out of bridgestone 003s in fact they will last longer than the Q2s but not as good in the wet.Never really liked pilot road 2s.Hope that helps ;)

I like MICHELIN pilot power 2ct's. I get about 3500 miles on the rear and I don't ride slow. I find if I run the pressure at 38psi rear and 33 front it gives me the best traction on my 2004 Z1000. I like Michelin Power Pures the best but the mileage is about 2,000 miles on the rear and 3,100 on the front. Cheers.

I've had good luck with pilot powers and road 2 on my zx14 I recon most riders don't need much more tyre than the modern sports touring tyres these days if u are just road riding. u wont go wrong with any of those tyres :kuda:

Had PR2's on the ZR7, quite good though the front did go before the rear, replaced with PR3's and am wrapped in them, good handling and seem to handle the heat and wet conditions up here well.

Well i have never got anywhere near 10,000 ks on any tyre absolute max was 7500 and it was really shagged with metal showing on the way back from a long trip. Are you sure all your spark plugs are connected ;)

Yeah. I think I need far more information about how you ride and what you want out of a tyre before I can advise on anything. I don't know how people can give advice about tyres when they don't know this sort of info. :? That being said, if you are after a touring tyre, the PR2 and Roadsmarts are both fine and if you are after a sports tyre, the M5 would be my pick for the 9 over a Pilot Power or Sportsmart.

Enjoy sifting through everyone's opinion as to what is the best tyre. Remember, like arse holes, everyone has an opinion; it's just that some people's are full of shit and some stink worse than others.
