Has anyone had any experience using one of these kits or similar brands?I'm interested in trying a few different reels to find the ideal one for the street.(I'm looking to increase rather than reduce the twist.Pensioner pack ) http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/art ... ttle_kits/
I've got that one, reasonably happy with it, I've got the 2nd quickest throw on it and I would like the quickest but I can't use it.
When it's put in,due to the cables they supply that you need to use,it actually doesn't allow the throttle to return completely and it sits there revving at 2000rpm.

mate those kits only reduce the amount of throttle travel - not increase it.
The slowest throttle rate you will get, is with the OEM throttle. Stick with that

@ the light switch.
Seems i'm Robinson Crusoe. As Gos said looks like they all shorten the twist.I misread it as either way.Was just a thought as due to losing my car i'm commuting on a 1000 and thought the idea of a gentler throttle may be useful.
Check the diameter of oem, and compare to the revolver pulleys, the slowest pulley is probably smaller than oem I'd be guessing. You get a decent housing and cables in the kit, but doesn't sound like you need it. Can also interfere with bikes with large integrated switchblocks and mcyl arrangements depending on the model.
