All the plug spanners I have are to big to fit down the hole in the motor
Does anyone know if this is a standard Kawasaki Item That you can buy over the counter?

If the end I had to buy two short extension bits with a knuckle to join them together....nightmare

hehehe
the standard Kwaka jobbie is a thin wall long tube type socket
(and used on most of the later Kwaka inline fours)
the car type ones just don't do it....
got mine from BKwaka....a long time ago for something like $5
today???
cheers

the socket that came in my cheapo $100 supatool box fit, but its as tight as a nuns nasty
i taped the socket up to the extension and lubed it up before squeezing it in (you dont want it getting stuck in there)
and then i had to use a wee little elecetronics grabber thingee to pull the plugs out cos they refused to come out with the socket
i much prefer my GFs XJR400 for changing plugs, dont even have to take off the tank....

"Supertool", cheap crap available from Kmart or supacheap, make a plug spanner that does the job perfectly. It's a little snug as it goes past the O-ring in the valve cover, but a liitle grease makes it work a treat. Just make sure it's all clean so you don't damage the O-ring.

What I did ...
1. Bought $11 spanner from brighton Kwaka.... too short !
2. Used my Honda Civic plug wrench .. worked for cylinder #2 & #3, but not for #1 and #4 since too long and hit the frame !!!
3. Bought $6 spanner from Supercheap auto... worked by using short extension and add another short extension. So use 1 extension first, drop in the hole, then add another extension.
