Slip On Exhaust for 2012 Ninja 650RL

Post by ninjaa650 »

Hi All,
I recently got a Ninja 650L and ive been looking everywhere for a slip on exhaust but cant seem to find one. Does anybody know anywhere i could look? Obviously the bike is still very new and they havent had long to make parts for them..

The ninja 650RL is an ER-6 with fairings on it... so look that up... for a cheap exhaust, i usually recommend screamingdemon.com.au...... OR type in Ninja 650 exhaust into ebay and you will find heaps mate ;)
2009 Kwaka Ninja 250R (Charlotte) Roady SOLD :'(
2010 Kwaka Ninja 250R SE (Jenny) Tracky SOLD :'(

Thanks mate. What about older models fitting on the 2012? Or are slip ons universal?

Mate unless they have changed how the exhaust is placed onto the cat which i cant see it any different than the older models... i dont think you will have a probem... if in doubt i would ask the people selling the exhaust if its a proper site, not a privately owned exhaust.

If it were me, id ask a kawasaki dealer if it will fit? if the new system is any different? research yourself... go to dealerships and get on your knees and have a look...compare...take pics and revise if they look identical... worst comes to worst, MEASURE it!! much more than that i cant help :kuda:

Slip On Exhaust for 2012 Ninja 650RL

Post by paulmac272 »

I recently installed a Two Brothers slip on, (sounds awesome) on my ER6N. TB exhausts don't come with an O2 sensor bung, (i think because i bought it from the US) lucky for me my bike doesn't have an O2 sensor. I think 2009 models onward have the sensor. Just something to be aware of.

Hey :) - Nice choice in bike. I brought the exact model in black on the weekend, got it tues, and tried to get some slip ons at the store, apparently they have changed the 650L model and the other pipes for older models won't fit on these...let me know how you get on, still hunting for some! :D

Hi all. Your dead right Nixsta. The 2012 model is a one piece item. Therfore you can't use a slip-on. You can only fit a full system, which isn't hard to do if your handy with mechanical stuff. I've just fitted a Two Brothers system which i purchased from the USA - http://www.revzilla.com - The amazing thing is how much lighter the new system is compared to the old. And the Two Brothers system comes with a threaded port for the O2 sensor. Happy Days!!!

Just waiting 4 mine 2 get here from the states nixsta..went carbon.., I'll post up some picks like mothy of all my mods in the next couple of weeks. $713 delivered. They claim about 10% Iimprovement in kilowatts across the rev range & about 5 kilos in weight. Llittle bit dearer then revzilla but one of the boys got rooted around by them..so fuck em.
