Down but not out just yet!

Post by SNAFU »

Hi everyone!
As some of you have noticed I have pretty quite for a bit and no I haven't cracked the sads. Only a few people from this site new that last week I was in hospital have major surgery on my neck which was pretty dangerous.

The long and the short of it was that 4 of my disc's in my neck had collapsed and protective coating on my spinal cord was being worn away. I taken into hospital for emergency surgery, if they hadn't I would have fell off the perch or worse spent the rest of my life in a chair. It seem's the last ride I did could have been my last coming down Buckland strait I lost all feeling and use of my left arm and was lucky to get home in one piece, it is a good thing that J.W. looked after me so well.

I now on 6 weeks full recovery and 3 month's until I can get back on a bike so I'll have to suck it up for a while. Anyway a big thanks to everyone who posted messages of support on the ROT FB page and thank you to those that dropped in to see me in hospital that is one of the things that make riding a bike in Tassie so good, you guy's, the riders.

A special thanks to Paul, Kimba, Gary & Seen these are the best mates you could ever ask for.

Hope everyone have a safe and happy riding in March and please all of you take care.
