Tealdo's
Others with a Tealdo radiator - what are you running in it?
Kwick (Pete) is recommending distilled water, and WaterWetter.
Any of you run standard coolant, and if so, which?
Thanks,
Bill.

Re: Tealdo's
The advice from Rod at Race Radiators who did my recore - after I just ran normal coolant that coroded the core (my fault I might add) - is to use a high quality name brand coolant mixed 50/50 with the demineralised water. I cant remember what brand I got but I can check tonight.
Thats what I have in mine now and it seems all good so far. If Kwick suggests something you could use that too, I have found his advice to be excellent.

Re: Tealdo's
I think there is Bruthen tap water in mine. Works a treat!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Re: Tealdo's
II had a look at Redline WaterWetter - $36 for about 500ml.
I went with Tectolyte instead, as I have done for some years now, without any hassles.
Distilled water as the base.
Tealdo's unit looks good! I replaced my Delkevic (which replaced my original one). I found that the fan was coming on too often, engine running hotter than usual.

Re: Tealdo's
I had used the coolant that destroyed my Tealdo core for many years with no issues either - but it corroded the aluminium one in 3-4 months.....just sayin. I had a Delkevic one as well, it never fit right and none of the holes lined up correctly. I had also seen - as I;m sure you have - many stories of them just staring to leek.billwest wrote:II had a look at Redline WaterWetter - $36 for about 500ml.

Re: Tealdo's
From Ron Davis, who makes the Tealdo radiator:

"All we recommend is ethylene glycol based coolant and distilled water. No other
additives."
>>
I actually used Tectaloy Xtra Cool.

Re: Tealdo's
Nope, the concentrate in the 500ml bottle.
1 bottle can treat 10 litres of distilled water.
