I have done three and a half thousand k's on mine and they have been thoroughly enjoyable!

Great bike to ride it's definintly built for hoons... The gearing is short and the bike is flickable!

The only three issues I can think of are

1. Because of the short gearing you will be pulling 4-5 thou rpm at 100km/h

2. Small fuel tank so you're looking at around 200ks to a tank...

3. Police don't take kindly to you doing wheelies...

Buy one before someone convinces you to buy a zrx

Z1000 small fairing, smaller tank, slightly different state of tune.More street fighter
Ninja 1000 full fairing, larger tank, more touring , but both great bikes.

I rode Hoff's on the CDT and they are a great bike. The Ninja 1000 I sat on at the Supers was an even better riding position so I'd probably go that option.

Looked like a great bike to ride.

I was one of the lucky ones to ride the Hoff's Z1000, in fact I've ridden a few now, carbon Col that rides with us has one dripping in carbon, looks sensational.

I have to say they are all good but the Hoff's one with the set up suspension for larger units suits me perfectly, as I said if I had to buy a new bike now that is what I would buy. I would get the naked over the Ninja for the simple reason I want to know how fast I'm going ;) The Hoff has a bigger screen on his and that is more than enough protection, even at - um - somewhat elevated pace ;)
