2005 ZX636R Fuel Economy
Hi everyone,
Just a quick one , I was kinda wondering what sort of range should you get out of a full tank on a 05' 636? having quite a large family I tend to try to be more on the lean side, she never really goes over 10,000 RPM I cruise at 80Kph in 4th at around 6,000 RPM... I always use BP Ultimate or 95 if 98 isn't available....
Cheers in advance guys/gals...

Re: 2005 ZX636R Fuel Economy
At present I get the fuel warning light around 210Km then it takes about 14 ltrs to fill it, giving me roughly 15km per litre, is that correct or should I get my bike looked at ya reckon? cuz I hear so many people say they get just over 300Km from their bikes? and I don't even ride hard...

How many litres is that Stu and Vivek?
I get the same range as Stu suburban/urban fringe riding on 14-15l but we have 07-08 600 as opposed to your 05-06 636. I do tend to hammer the thing mostly

Maybe buy a scoot for the commute, and keep the 6 for fun ....

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

From a full tank, to and from work and a twist here and there, my fuel light comes on between 210km and 220km.....
Hope that helps....

I've never got much more than 15 and a half in mine, that's filling it most of the way up the spout afer I've ridden on fumes.StuMiller wrote:I think it's 17lt.tim wrote:How many litres is that Stu and Vivek?

(But it has lost about half a litre in size when the previous owner decided to play flip the bike

Wiki quotes the 05-06 tank size as the same: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_Ninja_ZX-6R
