ZXR250A Fork seal replacement

Post by cwaterhouse »

Hi guys, getting ready to change the fork seals on my bike (A2 model 1990). Can anyone point me in the direction of a manual, or just the suspension section with oil height level? All I've managed to turn up by searching are a whole lot of dead links, and the manual for the C version.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hey Damo,

None of those links lead to a downloadable ZXR250A manual I'm afraid.

The most active one, ZXR250.com has a dead link from the forum section. If I can get a copy I will happily host it for others to use.

Cheers,

Colin.

My manual has slightly different numbers to that. It doesn't say if it's for an A or a C or whatever though. So you may have more accurate info than me.
mine says approx 365ml or 85mm +/-2mm
or 430ml when completely dry.
Sorry if that confuses more than helps. I ended up with about 460ml in mine. And that seemed to work a bit better. Not sure which ones mine are, but they have no compression adjustment. :(

You must have the C model manual (from japi.com.ar). You can tell the a and c apart apart by looking at the swingarm. A model don't have the compression damping force adjustment at the bottom of the fork AFAIK.
